Key Stage 3

Key Stage 3

Your child will now be in secondary school and the learning will have gone up a gear. Although everything they learnt in primary is relevant the information about each subject is much more in- depth and the breadth of subjects is much wider.
Students are expected to be independent and responsible for managing their work and completing homework.

Work will be graded through homework and end-of-unit assessments.

This is where work gets serious and the focus is on laying the groundwork so that students will have the best opportunity to perform in their GCSE’s.
Students will have to be more organised and will be given a diary from school to help them plan homework and tests, as well as being a great communication tool with parents.
It is important for students to really stay on the work now and not let anything slide.
They are likely to study the following
  • English
  • Maths
  • Science
  • History
  • Geography
  • Modern foreign languages
  • Design and technology (DT),
  • Art and design
  • Music
  • PE
  • Moral Education
  • Computing
  • Arabic
  • Islamic Studies

Let’s build something great together.
